More drug surrenderers in Tacurong graduate TaTaPP
Fifteen drug surrenderers from Barangay Upper Katungal and Barangay Tina became the second batch of graduates or Empowered Brethrens (EB) from the 5-day live in training of the TaTaPP or Tatap Tabang Para sa Paglaom program on March 9, 2017 at the Boy Scout Camp, New Carmen, Tacurong City.
Present during the ceremony were Rev. Fr. Zaldy Robles, DCC, TaTaPP Program Director; Mr. Alberto Sero, CLGOO; PSUPT RANIE HACHUELA, Tacurong City Chief of Police; J/SINSP NIMROD S VALENIA, Jail Warden BJMP-Tacurong City; Punong Barangay Ma. Lourdes Bogador of Brgy. Tina, and the barangay officials of Upper Katungal and Tina.
Also present were the facilitators of the program who are trained volunteers coming from the Nuestra Señora Dela Candelaria Parish, LGU-Tacurong, BJMP, PNP, and DSWD Region XII among others.
The families of the EBs also attended to surprise them while the first batch graduates of TaTaPP attended to extend their support to their fellow EBs.
After the 5-day live in training, the EBs will continue with the TaTaPP program for six months in their respective barangays.
The TaTaPP program is the official community rehabilitation program of Tacurong where it uses a therapeutic community approach. The program also provides training to the EB’s family and community for a truly encompassing recovery. (YMR, LGU-Tacurong Information)
