Exit conference, idinaos ng COA kasama ang ilang barangay sa lungsod ng Tacurong

EXIT CONFERENCE, IDINAOS NG COA KASAMA ANG ILANG BARANGAY SA LUNGSOD NG TACURONG

Nagdaos ang Commission on Audit (COA) ng Exit Conference kasama ang mga opisyales ng ilang barangay ng Lungsod ng Tacurong para maiparating sa kanila ang mga audit observations at recommendations hinggil sa barangay budgetary processes para sa taong 2019 hanggang 2021.
 
Idinaos ang aktibidad ngayong araw, Hulyo 28, sa Koronadal City.
 
Ito ay isang opurtunidad din para sa mga barangays na maipaliwanag ang kanilang panig hinggil sa obserbasyong nakita sa pag susuri ng COA.
 
Ang panig ng COA ay pinangunahan ni State Auditor lV Norraina Abubacar, CPA na siya ding OIC Supervising Auditor Local Government Audit Sector B.
 
Kasama niya sina State Auditor lll Merry Gen O. Cafino, CPA na siyang Audit Team Leader para sa Lungsod ng Tacurong, State Auditing Examiner ll Precious Ann Gambe, CPA (Audit Team Member), at State Auditing Examiner ll Jeany Rose Jauod, CPA (Audit Team Member).
 
Maliban sa ilang barangay na inimbitahan, inanyayahan din ang mga opisyales ng iba pang mga barangay para makinig at mag-obserba sa Exit Conference. Nasa pagtitipon din si Liga ng mga Barangay President Amoilo Ortizo.
 
Kasama sa mga dumalo ang mga pinuno ng Sangguniang Kaabataan Federation ng 20 barangay ng lungsod sa pangunguna ni SK Federation President Ma. Cristina Duadua.
 
Ang exit conference ay dinaluhan din nina Mayor Joseph George Lechonsito, Konsehal Nestor Casador, City Accountant Orlando Edica at City Budget Officer Imelda Pamplona.
 
Sa naturang exit conference, binigyang-diin ng COA officials na bilang enabling partner, nakahanda silang magturo at tumulong sa mga barangay para mag-interpret sa mga umiiral na batas at regulasyon at kung paano ang wastong application ng mga batas na ito.
 
Binigyang-diin din ng ahensiya na sa lahat ng panahon, kailangang itaguyod ng lahat ng lingkod-bayan ang pagpapahalaga sa ‘good governance and judicious allocation of government resources’. (ASF, LGU Information)

Tacurong Tourism Council approves foundation day & Talakudong activities

Members of the Tacurong City Tourism Council assembled for a meeting on July 12 at the city mayor's conference room. City Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito presided over as chairperson.
Agenda for the meeting included the presentation of calendar of activities for the upcoming Tacurong Day in August and the Talakudong Festival in September.
The festivities are slated to begin on August 3 during the foundation day and will run their course through September 18, which is the highlight of the Talakudong festival.
As per approved proposal, the usual activities from the pre-pandemic celebrations will be resumed, some forgottten ones will be revived, and other first-time activities will be arranged.
For instance, the Munting Mutya ng Tacurong City will be making a comeback; the barangays' agricultural fair will again setup booths at the city hall grounds; a food fair and trade fair will be arranged along the festival vicinity; and the Indak- indak sa Kadalanan will again color the streets of the city.
First-time activities will include the 1st Tacurong Sports Festival among others. Celebrities will also be invited to grace at least three festival activities, one of which is a celebrity basketball game wherein a team from the LGU will battle it out against a team composed of celebrities.
The calendar of activities will be posted prior to August.
Also present during the council meeting were City Vice Mayor Lina O. Montilla, ABC president Hon. Amoilo L. Ortizo, and city councilors Hon. Ralen Tabusares- Bernardo, Hon. Harvey P. Legas, and Hon. Geronimo P. Arzagon.

Armor Division of Philippine Army met with Mayor Joseph George Lechonsito

MGen Efren Baluyot, Division Commander and highest-ranking officer of the Armor Division of Philippine Army met with Mayor Joseph George Lechonsito and other officials of Tacurong City early this afternoon.
He was joined by BGen Pet Balisi, 1st Mech Brigade Commander, Armor Division, Col Ferdinand Lacadin, Deputy Brigade Commander, 1st Mech Brigade, Armor Division and other officers.
Present also during the army officials’ visit were Vice Mayor Lina Montilla, Councilor Ralen Tabusares-Bernardo, Councilor Harvey Legas, Councilor Geronimo Arzagon, Councilor Bernardino Umadhay, Jr., and Councilor Carlos Borromeo Segura.
