Legislative Support for priority Programs and Projects

Mayor Montilla seeks legislative support for priority programs and projects

“Tapos na ang pulitika, tapos na ang bangayan. Umpisahan naton ang paghatag sang maayo nga serbisyo sa mga pamuluyo sang Siyudad sang Tacurong!”

Tacurong City Mayor Angelo “Roncal” Montilla declared as he called on the support of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) during his Inaugural Speech on June 30, 2019, at the Tacurong City Cultural and Sports Center.

In particular, Mayor Montilla seeks a favorable outcome in the general revision of the Local Revenue Code and the collection of Real Property Taxes.

He also wishes for an Economic Enterprise Ordinance that will focus on the income-generating projects of the LGU in order to avoid wastage of public funds. This ordinance will specifically improve the systems of the slaughterhouse, public market, and public terminal.

To reduce red tape, Montilla lobbies for an ordinance creating the Office of the City Building Official in order to speedily facilitate and cater to businessmen and residents who wish to construct businesses or homes in the city.

Lastly, he believes that the creation of a Traffic Management Office is timely and beneficial in implementing the existing traffic ordinances of the LGU.

In response, City Vice Mayor Lino O. Montilla, SP presiding officer, committed during the Inaugural Session of the 8th Sangguniang Panlungsod, “I will always work hand in hand with our dear Mayor, so that we may be able to achieve the goals that we have envisioned for our dear Tacurong.”

Legislative support is instrumental in the fulfillment of the priority programs and projects that Mayor Montilla wishes to implement during his first few months in office. Without the enactment of these ordinances, there are no projects or programs to execute. (YMR, LGUTac-Info)
