3 young entreps score business starter kits from LGU-Tacurong

Three young local entrepreneurs forging their way to making a name for their chosen ventures just had more resources at their disposal as the City Government of Tacurong dispersed business starter kits to them Monday, January 24, 2022, at the City Hall Building ground floor.
Each representing a distinct industry from one another, the 3 youth entrepreneurs acquired various sets of kits – Earl S. Bepitel Jr. of Fashion Design and Dressmaking received sewing and edging machines, a mannequin, and other tailoring tools; John Rey B. Sazon of Beauty Salon for Men & Women accepted several make-up and parlor tools; and Niño B. Narciso of Welding, Steel Works & Metal Fabrication obtained several ironwork machines and equipment.
This awarding of starter kits was entailed by the 11th Tacurong Business Week last July 2021. Due to the setbacks brought by the pandemic, the processing and release of the kits were delayed. This is also the first time the LGU has procured these kinds of apparatus for the starter kits.
Further, from the 6 primarily identified beneficiaries, only 3 have passed the final evaluation.
This undertaking of LGU-Tacurong – under its “Sustaining Unlimited Livelihood Opportunities by Nurturing the Growth of the MSMEs of Tacurong” or SULONG initiative – is in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry -Sultan Kudarat Field Office, Sultan Kudarat SMED Council, and Small Business Corporation.
Via Zoom, City Mayor Lino O. Montilla congratulated and conveyed his anticipation of the recipients’ success as they continue their endeavors with these provisions from the city government. Meanwhile, Tourism Officer I Emmanuel K. Nicolo facilitated the in-person distribution of the starker kits. (DEC, LGU-TacInfo)
