It’s been a productive year for the Negosyo Center of Tacurong City.

To celebrate its first year anniversary on March 9, the DTI, DOLE, the local Chamber of Commerce, and LGU-Tacurong held an anniversary program at the facility.

In attendance were OIC-Mayor Hon. Cirilo Y. Flores, Revelina Sespeñe of DTI-SK, Martin Te of Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Rey Miguel N. Lopez of SKCCIFI, and various representatives from DOLE SK, DTI SK, the business sector, and LGU-Tacurong.

The center reported that a year after its establishment, among its accomplishments included assistance to 34 Tacurongnon MSMEs and development of 44 new product labels.

Through various assistance in business operations, it was able to access P200 million funding from DOLE, one of the beneficiaries of which was the Tacurong Terminal Vendors Association (TATVA) for their highly successful TATVA Groceria.

It also provided 36 entrepreneurial training and seminars where 947 MSMEs were able to access.

The Tacurong Negosyo Center was the first to be established in Sultan Kudarat. In 2017, seven more LGUs in the province are expected to follow suit. (YRobles, LGU-Tacurong Information)
