One hundred thirteen individuals graduated from various skills through the Bottom-up Budgeting (BUB) program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in the City of Tacurong on June 1, 2016.
“LGU-Tacurong City is very efficient…this is the first TESDA BUB project to be completed in the region for 2016,”announced Michael Librado, TESDA-BUB focal person during the closing ceremonies.
Of the 113 graduates, fifteen underwent training on Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing NC II; 26 on Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II; 15 on Food and Beverages Servicing NC II; 20 on Security Services NC I; 15 on Dressmaking NC II; and 22 on Automotive NC II.
“Sa training, hindi lang kami nakatuon sang skills nga pwede pangabuhian, naka gain man kami sang mga bag-o nga friends,” said Mikee Plantig, a graduate of the dressmaking training.
The LGU, TESDA, and its partner institutions hope that the graduates will enhance their acquired skills to increase their opportunities for employment and livelihood. (Jez Billano-Fabreag, LGU-Tacurong City Information)
