With all out support from City Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito, MD, DPA; the entire local government unit; the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod; the different interfaith leaders, and civil society organizations, the men and women of Tacurong City PNP, headed by PLTCOL JOAN M MAGANTO, successfully launched the Revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN (KApulisan, SIMBAhan, PamaYANAN), October 17, during the Monday flag raising ceremony at the Tacurong City Hall.
KASIMBAYANAN is a commitment of support and partnership among the PNP, the church, and the community to promote lasting progress in the city through a holistic and God-centered approach towards peace and order.
To expressly lend their suppport, the attendees recited and signed the Pledge of Commitment while the PNP distributed and pinned the KASIMBAYAN buttons.
A mass dance was also led by Chief Maganto and Mayor Lechonsito to the tune of KASIMBAYAN's anthem 'Life is Beautiful'. They were joined by city councilors Hon. Ralen Tabusares, Hon. Harvey Legas, and Hon. Bernardino Umadhay, as well as the men and women Tacurong City Police Station, Joint Task Force Talakudong, BFP, and BJMP.
As important partners to the program, church leaders Rev. Fr. Allen Polaron, DCC of Nuestra Señora dela Candelaria; Udstadz Abner Kanakan, Masjid Abubakre As Siddiq; and Pastor Kelvin Rey Bogador of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church also committed their 100% support to working harmoniously with the PNP and the local government towards a common goal.
PCPT JETHRO DAVE D DOLIGAS, Deputy Chief of Police, and PCOL GILBERT TUZON, former chief of Tacurong PNP and now OIC of Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, were present to personally lend their support to the program launching.
Speaking on behalf of the city, Mayor Lechonsito welcomed this partnership with the PNP, the church, and the community organizations. He shared that no less than the constitution has mandated cooperation and support among the members of our society in order to achieve lasting peace and order in the community.
