Tacurong City mayor and CSWD officer cited most outstanding in social service

City Mayor Lina O. Montilla and City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) Officer Eufemia Robles were recognized as Most Outstanding Local Chief Exectutive and Most Outstanding CSWD Officer respectively for Component Cities category during the Gawad Parangal awarding on April 24, 2019 at Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City.

The award was in recognition of Montilla’s accomplishments in the implementation of local social welfare and development programs and services from the year 2015 to 2016 and introduction of innovative social welfare and development interventions and best practices among others.

Robles was cited for her consistent and efficient delivery of distinct and innovative social welfare and development programs and services to Tacurong City, which contributed to positive, quality, and sustainable results in the lives of her constituents.

Mayor Montilla and Robles personally received the awards in Cebu City, which was also in time for the 23rd National Social Welfare and Development Forum and General Assembly.

Gawad Parangal is an annual search for outstanding service in the field of social work among local leaders and social workers. It is conferred by the Association of Local Social Welfare & Development Officers of the Philippines, Inc.
