TACURONG CITY, 1 December 2014 —Tacurong CBMS team has begun their 5 month-household survey in the barangays using their android tablets. CBMS APP or Community-based Monitoring System Accelerated Poverty Profiling is an Android tablet-based survey developed by the Community-Based Monitoring System Network Team commissioned by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Data gathered will be used in planning and creating necessary programs and projects for the communities.
“95 thousand ka tao ang ara sa City of Tacurong pero kamo lng ang napili nga mag conduct sini nga survey, may trust kami sainyo.” These were the words of Mayor Lina Montilla as she delivered her inspirational message to 24 enumerators, 4 editors and 2 supervisors who graduated in the CBMS APP Module 1 training on November 28.
“I hope asta 5 months ubrahon naton sang tarung ang aton nga trabaho because ang every data nga inyo ma gather important na sa aton nga city sa paghimo naton sang mga programs and projects,” the mayor added.
DILG and LGU-Tacurong through the City Planning and Development Coordinating Office invited two resource speakers for the training. They were LGOO Evelyn Castro, a CBMS National Trainer from the DILG Central Office and LGOO Philip Cuevas, Regional CBMS Focal Person of DILG IX, Pagadian City. (LGU-Tacurong City Information)
