Authorities advise the public not to panic in view of the simulation exercise (SIMEX) on terrorism that will happen in the afternoon of November within Notre Dame Siena College of Tacurong on Thursday, November 29.

The exercise involves a school lockdown drill that aims to test the preparedness of security in responding to threats that will put the lives of civilians in danger.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office will collaborate with the Joint Task Force Talakudong in the conduct of SIMEX.

CDRRM Officer Rodrigo Jamorabon tells the public to keep calm in light of the scheduled lockdown drill.

“We ask for patience and understanding from those around the ND Siena. The lockdown drill is part of our local government’s preparedness initiative to fight terrorism”, Jamorabon said.

On November 25, authorities already conducted a SIMEX briefing to the participating security groups on how to play out the drill. (ASF-LGU Information)
