Allure, polish, and glamour exuded as Candidate #19, Brgy. New Passi’s very own Mary Grace Pamposa, bested 19 other contenders and blossomed to be the Ms. Inugyunay 2021 during the event’s coronation night, December 20, 2021, at the City Hall Ground.
Clad in her queenly elegance, Mary Grace charmed the esteemed panel of judges – composed of artists and Tourism Officers – while sweeping, to her favor, all the minor awards consisting of Best in Production Number, Best in Playsuit, and Best in Christmas Couture. Eventually, she victoriously made her way to the crown.
Along with the jeweled tiara she won over, Mary Grace also received P20, 000.00 cash prize from the City Government of Tacurong.
Meanwhile, 4 more stunners emerged to be Mary Grace’s runners-up: Pia Gleare Gonzaga of Brgy. Calean who acquired the Special Awards, Ms. Photogenic and Ms. Telegenic; Fionna Leigh Padios of Brgy. Tina; Alexa Jhel Arabis of Brgy. San Pablo; and Claiza Jaro of Brgy. Upper Katungal.
Moreover, Candidate #7, Janica Marie Ciudad of Brgy. New Isabela, was voted by her co-contestants as Ms. Holiday Cheers – Ms. Inugyunay’s version of Ms. Congeniality.
The reemergence of such a beauty pageant this year in Tacurong is the city government’s little way of giving entertainment to its people as it acknowledges that Tacurongnons have long endured the pandemic.
City Vice Mayor Lalaine J. Montilla stressed in her message that as the COVID-19 cases in the city continue to plummet and were logged at zero as of the crowning eve, it’s high time for the people of Tacurong to experience some merry-making.
Further, Vice Mayor Lalaine also conveyed her gratitude to the people as the easing of the pandemic in the city is everyone’s efforts due to their continued support and unity to the mandates of the city government.
Ms. Inugyunay 2021, Mary Grace of New Passi, is currently a 2nd year, Bachelor of Science in Social Work student at South East Asian Institute of Technology in Tupi, South Cotabato. (DECostas, LGU-TacInformation)
