Tacurong City — In a move that is uncommon even among LGUs, City Mayor Angelo O. Montilla ordered an LGU-wide recollection seminar aimed at strengthening camaraderie and behavioral transformation among employees.
In lieu of the usual out-of-town team building activities that tend to distract from the purpose, the mayor believes that a focused one-day session will achieve better results.
Entitled “Personal Transformation: Shaping Behavior Towards Success at Work”, the recollection focused on adjusting one’s character to embody the core values, mission, and vision of the city government.
For his part, Montilla refused special treatment and showed that he is just another public servant of the LGU: he patiently sat through the entire seminar and received the same certificate of completion as with everyone else by the end.
With over 800 employees, the LGU offices were divided into clusters and will undergo the said seminar in five schedules. The first 2 batches have finished last March 5 and 6, respectively.
