DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr. served as keynote speaker of the event in which he shared his massive experience in local government administration.
The in-person orientation course is part of the NEO’s Program Component on Jumpstarting Local Governance in which Local Chief Executives will be guided in navigating their First 100 Days in office by introducing them to various local governance and leadership topics.

However, the mayor always believed that he will thrive as a competent leader that will propel Tacurong City to new heights in governance.
“I also believe that my vast experience with the legislative department will help me easily find my way at the executive realm”, Mayor Lechonsito said.
He added that local governance continues to evolve and local officials must always be ready to adapt and embrace changes in governmental practices.
His attendance to this orientation course is a testament of Mayor Lechonsito’s commitment to broaden his knowledge and become a competent local chief executive.
