Mayor Lina Montilla traveled to Baguio to witness Cadet 1st Class Mariel Dione Robles marched on Sunday during the graduation rites of 282 members of PMA Alab Tala Class of 2018.
Robles is the only Tacurongnon who graduated this year and now holds the distinction as the city’s first female graduate of the academy.
This year’s class also have the highest number of female graduates with 75.
“Robles’ feat is a fitting tribute to all women of Tacurong especially this time that we are celebrating Women’s Month”, Mayor Montilla said.
Robles hails from Barangay Barangay New Isabela.
Aside from Robles, three other Tacurongnons are currently surviving the grueling training inside the academy.
They are Cadet 2nd Class Kathleen Ea (San Pablo), Cadet 3rd Class Chester Allan dela Cruz (EJC Montilla), and Cadet 4th Class Alex Carillo (San Pablo).
