In her message, the City Mayor welcomed the grantees and encouraged them to grab the opportunity to experience working for the government and serve the constituents. It was also during the program that the City Mayor and the DOLE OIC-Regional Director signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the 2016 SPES and the Memorandum of Understanding for the TUPAD-GIP.

Out of the 390 grantees, 150 are funded by Bottom-Up Budgeting while 240 are funded by DOLE and LGU-Tacurong. Each grantee will receive Php6,000 as salary for the duration of their summer employment.

The orientation proper was conducted by the City Human Resource Management Office through Mrs. Dianne Guadalupe. The grantees were taught the proper conduct befitting a civil servant, and they were familiarized with the rules and regulations governing their stay in the program.

The grantees will be assigned to the different offices of the local government of Tacurong City and its barangays. Some grantees will be assigned to the different national line agencies in the city such as the National Food Authority, DILG, and Commission on Audit.
