The Human Resource Management Office of the City Government of Tacurong, headed by Ms. Elsa B. Indanao, was given the PRIME-HRM Bronze award by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on July 24, 2019 in Pasay City.
Present to receive the award were City Mayor Roncal Montilla, Ms. Elsa Indanao, former City Mayor Lina O. Montilla, and other HR staff.
The said award was conferred to Tacurong City for having met the PRIME-HRM Level 2 Maturity Indicators of all the four (4) core HRM systems– Recruitment, Selection, and Placement; Performance Management; Learning and Development; and Rewards and Recognition– and for having maintained its HR records management and other programs in order.
The on-site assessment was conducted by the CSC Region XII in 2017 and 2018.
Along with the bronze award, the CSC also granted LGU Tacurong’s HR authority to approve appointments, subject to post-audit; 20% discount for the HRMO or Agency Representative on training/conferences conducted by the Civil Service Institute; and endorsement or recommendation for scholarship grant offered by other institutions.
PRIME-HRM or Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management is a mechanism by the CSC that aims to empower government agencies by developing their human resource management competencies, systems, and practices toward HR excellence. (YMR, LGUTac-Info)
