The 5-day skills training was held on July 25 - 29 and was provided by the city government through the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) headed by Acting CSWD Officer Josephine Tizon, in cooperation with TESDA and SCMCSTI.
City Vice Mayor Lina O. Montilla graced the simple graduation program with Mr. Hernane Fermo, Executive Assistant for Barangay Affairs, representing City Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito.
Also present during the program were Poblacion Punong Barangay Jonathan Salazar and SCMCSTI President, Robert Batchar.
Moreover, the CSWD, through the Project Evaluation team headed by Josephine Ubaldo, provided starter kits to the group amounting to Php 100,000.
Punong Barangay Salazar has also committed a production area for the group at the Poblacion barangay hall.
All these assistance have the ultimate goal of providing the daycare workers with the know-how on healthier ways to prepare food for leaners as well give them the means to augment their individual incomes.
The group's produced vegetable noodles have been on sale during the recently held Entrepreneurs' Fair of the 12th Tacurong Business Week.
