The City Development Council (CDC) met for the 1st quarter meeting of the year on February 17 at the Tacurong City Cultural Sports Center to discuss priority projects and programs to be included in this year’s supplemental budget.
The projects include Operational Support for the Containment of COVID-19 and Other Calamities worth P30 million, Construction of Drainage Canal along Malvar St. connecting to Doña Alicia St. in Brgy. Poblacion worth P6.3 million, and Connection of Interconnectivity of the 20 barangays worth P2.8 million just to name a few.
The supplemental budget, amounting to P61,303, 773.53, was sourced from savings, re-aligned and reverted budgets, and excess of the previous year on infrastructure projects.
The meeting also included the approval of re-appropriated budgets for other concreting and drainage constructions.
Chaired by City Mayor Angelo O. Montilla, the CDC is a local council composed of the chairperson of the Appropriations Committee of the Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP), Punong Barangays, and representatives of the different government agencies in the city, the private sector, and non-government organizations. Its function is to formulate policies on, plan, and prioritize socioeconomic projects in the city.
The CDC’s approved resolutions are now up for the SP’s approval.
Also present during the meeting were City Vice Mayor Lino O. Montilla, Hon. Remo Y. Flores, and City Planning and Development Coordinator, Ms. Amelia Bochorno. (YMR, LGUTac-Information)
