Topics during the forum included discussions on diseases and illnesses that are putting older individuals at risk. Discussions focused on prevention, detection, diagnostic testing and treatment of illnesses like prostate cancer, cervical cancer and hypertension among others.

Lifestyle modification to prevent diseases was also a highlight of the one-day activity.

Speakers included City Health Officer Giovanni Deles, Medical Officer Emelyn Nepucpan, Dr. Hernie Barraquia of Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office, and Ms. Liza Ygnalaga, a wellness coach.

Mayor Lina Montilla as well as GAD Focal Person Nancy Bawe gave their messages to the participants before the start of the lectures.
